But it’s the annual migration of the grey whales that come down to the warmers waters to give birth and raise their young that truly captivates; this marine mammals travel for almost 4,000 miles to give birth their whale calves in this bay. During our Journey to Puerto Lopez Mateos, one of the few protected areas in the Peninsula, we’ll enjoy the contrasting landscape between ocean and desert that makes this land so unique.
